On college campuses today there is a concerted effort to suppress the speech of conservative students. Whether it be by actively silencing these students, or by refusing to condemn those who would seek to do so, our institutions of higher learning have fallen woefully short in their duty of fostering an environment of intellectual diversity and stimulation.
In light of these occurrences we created The Campus Conservative as an avenue for conservative students to read and write on those topics which they find important. The Campus Conservative is a student run organization, and we are always looking for individuals to join in the discussion; individuals eager and willing to engage in rational, reasoned, respectful, and rigorous debate on pressing issues within our society today.
We hope that you enjoy our humble project.
Founder, The Campus Conservative
A sick society must think much about politics, as a sick man must think much about his digestion; to ignore the subject may be fatal cowardice for one as for the other. But if either comes to regard it as the natural food of the mind—if either forgets that we think of such things only in order to be able to think of something else—then what was undertaken for the sake of health has become itself a new and deadly disease. — C.S.
